This very controversial study of Medical Mistakes and Errors is required study each renewal period by some state boards. Learn about the massage therapist’s role in prevention of medical errors.
COURSE OBJECTIVES
Objective: Exhibit overall understanding of medical errors.
Outcome: Acknowledge the therapist’s/practitioner’s role in preventing medical errors.
Objective: Identify situations that lead to medical mistakes and errors.
Outcome: Assess for prevention of medical errors in the massage therapy workplace.
Objective: Implement medical error solutions.
Outcome: Make necessary changes to minimize recurrence.
Objective: Design easily executed procedural policies for the various causes of medical mistakes and errors, particularly surrounding poor communications.
Outcome: Prevent medical errors; avoid adverse events.
