We had a great time at the Augusta seminar. Met lots good people. Also discovered the largest piece of red velvet cake I have ever seen...but that's another story. Thanks to everyone who attended we are so happy to have met you all...well most of you :-) I'll be posting more pictures on our Facebook page.

We are keeping our original number 561-685-2990 but we are dropping our 800 # due to a high number of wrong number calls. Apparently there is a casino in Nevada that has the exact number except it is an 866 prefix. This has been going on for about a year so we finally decided that the 800# is not that imperative to have now that long distance rates are so cheap and now that nearly everyone has a cell phone with free long distance.

We were in the Midwest over the Independence Day weekend and saw some beautiful fireworks with the "hometown crowd". The culture is remarkably different from South Florida. People were actually civil to each other!

I've been reading "America, Our Last Best Hope" by William Bennett and the more I learn about the history of our country the more the meaning of our holidays changes for me. Our troops in the Middle East are forefront in my mind (of course) but the fireworks and the echo of the explosions off the surrounding mountains Saturday night (never on a Sunday, here) reminded me of the lyrics Francis Scott Key penned "..and the rockets red glare and bombs bursting in air.." and how much has been invested in our freedom long before we were born. It makes me glad and thankful to be here.

Naples in the summer.....very hot! If it had been Naples, Italy it would not have been better. We enjoyed two days of continuing education at the Bellasera in Naples, Florida with a great group of therapists.. Thank you Marcelo and Eleanor for your thoughtful contributions to the snack table! We were happy to see some familiar faces and pleased to meet a few new people as well. All in all it was time well spent and we always look forward to the hospitality of the Bellasera as well as the great therapists of the Naples area.

May seems to be the right time of year to sit outside and enjoy this picture perfect weather. I'm sitting in the garden using a wireless connection to write this. The proper use of technology!

I was quite excited to learn yesterday that one person is reading this!!! I thought, really, that this would be for posterity and a good place to keep my seminar pictures....So there's is a remote chance that one or maybe two other people are reading this and hopefully you are massage therapists. We have been advertising the Pathology seminar but it's not still not clear for some. This course will meet all the CE requirements for a Florida license renewal. Read the card carefully. If you have questions call or e-mail.

Warning! Attending a seminar with us may be good for your health! It was great to see everyone from the last renewal period who attended. I was surprised to discover that I missed you all. Thanks for coming back, we had a great time! Our only regret was not getting Nana Buffard in the group picture; sorry!

Next seminar is in Naples in mid June. If you live near Naples and are reading this, got to the seminar page and register now!

Another Atlanta seminar! I wish more therapists realized that the Georgia Board of Massage is going to audit every licensed therapist to see if they took a live seminar. On a separate note-several therapists said they were surprised at the quality, given the price. Many have suggested we raise the price..Hmmmm. We may have to raise prices for the upcoming Augusta seminar to cover costs.

Not as many as I expected but a good group to work with. Perhaps Georgia therapists think that the BOM won't run an audit. Some said they were going to take the chance and just get homestudies again. Georgia now requires their massage therapists to have 12 hours of their CE in a live seminar.

With the holidays past I can finally sit down and update my seminar pictures. This was our first live seminar in Atlanta (in December) and it went very well. People are people wherever you go and I 've found that holds true for massage therapists also. Thanks everyone for making it a great seminar. Looking forward to the next two in February of 2010!!
